Option Using PayPal (US Users)

PayPal’s built-in cryptocurrency feature lets you buy, sell, and send supported assets (BTC, ETH, LTC, BCH, SOL, LINK).

Set Up and Access Crypto Hub​

  1. Log in to your PayPal account on web or mobile.
  2. Tap Crypto in the Finances tab (mobile) or select Cryptocurrency on the web.
  3. Complete identity verification if prompted.

Buy Crypto on PayPal​

  1. In the Crypto section, tap Buy (mobile) or Buy / Sell (web).
  2. Select your cryptocurrency (e.g., Bitcoin).
  3. Enter the USD amount you wish to purchase.
  4. Choose funding source (PayPal balance, linked bank, or debit card).
  5. Review fees and click Buy now or Confirm Purchase.

Send Crypto to an External Wallet​

  1. Go to Crypto and tap Send (mobile) or Transfer crypto (web).
  2. Paste the recipient’s wallet address (double-check characters).
  3. Select asset and amount.
  4. Review network fees and details.
  5. Confirm by tapping Send.

Crypto transfers on PayPal may be subject to a 48-hour security review. If your transfer is delayed, wait 48 hours before retrying or contact PayPal support.
