Option Using Coinbase

Coinbase is a major US-based exchange requiring identity verification (KYC). It supports BTC, USDC, USDT, and many other assets.

Set Up and Verify Your Account

  1. Go to coinbase.com or download the Coinbase app; click Get started / Sign up.
  2. Create an account with your email and strong password.
  3. Complete identity verification: provide your name, address, date of birth, and government ID.
  4. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA).
  1. On desktop, click your profile icon → SettingsPayment methods. On mobile, tap ProfilePayment methods.
  2. Add a bank account (ACH) or debit card. Credit cards are generally not supported for purchases.
  3. Wait for verification (ACH takes 1–3 days; debit cards are instant).

Buy Crypto (BTC, USDC, USDT, etc.)

  1. On desktop, click Buy / Sell in the top menu. On mobile, tap Buy on the home screen.
  2. Select the cryptocurrency you need.
  3. Enter the amount in USD or crypto units.
  4. Choose your linked payment method.
  5. Click Preview Buy (desktop) or Preview (mobile). Review fees and total cost.
  6. Confirm by clicking Buy now. Crypto appears in your Coinbase wallet immediately.

Send Crypto to the Vendor

  1. On desktop, click Send / Receive, select Send. On mobile, tap Send.
  2. Choose the asset to send.
  3. Tap Network and select the correct blockchain (e.g., ERC-20 for USDC).
  4. Paste or scan the vendor’s exact wallet address. Double-check the first and last four characters.
  5. Enter the exact amount to send.
  6. Review network fees and transaction details.
  7. Click Send now (desktop) or Send (mobile).

Selecting the correct network is crucial for stablecoins. Sending on the wrong chain will likely result in permanent loss of funds. Always verify with your vendor.
