Option Other Platforms (Kraken, Gemini & MoonPay)

This guide covers additional on-ramps: Kraken and Gemini exchanges, and the MoonPay payment service. All support buying and sending common assets like BTC, ETH, and stablecoins.

Kraken​

Buying Crypto on Kraken​

  1. Create an account at kraken.com and verify your email.
  2. Complete identity verification (KYC) by uploading your ID.
  3. Navigate to Funding → Deposit; select your fiat currency and follow the bank transfer instructions.
  4. After funds clear, go to Trade → New Order.
  5. Select your trading pair (e.g., BTC/USD), enter amount, and click Buy.

Sending Crypto from Kraken​

  1. Go to Funding → Withdraw.
  2. Select the asset (e.g., Bitcoin).
  3. Add the vendor’s wallet address and select the correct network.
  4. Enter the amount to send and review the network fee.
  5. Confirm; approve via email or 2FA if prompted.

Gemini​

Buying Crypto on Gemini​

  1. Sign up at gemini.com or install the Gemini app; verify email and set a password.
  2. Complete KYC by uploading your ID.
  3. Click Transfer Funds → Add Funds; choose ACH or Wire Transfer.
  4. Once funded, go to Market or tap Buy; select your asset, enter amount, and confirm purchase.

Withdrawing Crypto from Gemini​

  1. Select Transfer Funds → Withdraw Crypto.
  2. Choose the cryptocurrency and add the vendor’s address.
  3. Input the amount and review any withdrawal hold or fees.
  4. Confirm the withdrawal; approve via Authy 2FA within 4 minutes.

MoonPay​

Buying Crypto with MoonPay​

  1. Open the MoonPay widget or partnered wallet (look for “Powered by MoonPay”).
  2. Select the cryptocurrency and enter the USD amount.
  3. Choose payment method (credit/debit card, bank transfer, Apple Pay, PayPal).
  4. Enter payment details and complete the purchase.

Sending Crypto with MoonPay​

  1. In MoonPay’s wallet interface, go to Assets → Send.
  2. Select the asset, paste the vendor’s address, choose network if needed, and enter amount.
  3. Review fees and confirm the transaction.
